VRM viewer, in the browser
Drop a .vrm, 0.x or 1.0. Read its metadata and licence, pull its expressions, watch the spring bones settle, drop a .vrma to play a clip on it, and take a screenshot. The file stays on your device.
How to look at a VRM
- Drop the .vrm on the page. The panel shows the version, the title, the author and the licence the file declares, with the permissions as the author set them.
- Pull the expression sliders to see the face move, open the mesh list to hide a part, and let the model settle to see its spring bones.
- Drop a .vrma on top of it to play that clip, or pick the built-in idle and walk. Take a screenshot on the scene, a transparent or a green background.
Two versions, one page
VRM 0.x and VRM 1.0 store the same avatar in different ways: the skeleton faces the other way, expressions are named differently, the licence fields are a different set. The viewer reads both and labels which one you dropped. An app that refuses one of them wants the other; the version converter switches between them without touching the geometry.
A .vrma clip is written on the VRM humanoid, so one file plays on any VRM; the built-in idle and walk are such clips. Expressions in the file, spring bones and the first-person settings are read as the file declares them.
Questions
What is a VRM?
A glTF binary with an avatar extension: a humanoid skeleton with standard bone names, expressions, spring bones for hair and clothes, and the author's licence. VTubing apps such as VSeeFace, Warudo and VNyan load it.
Is the file uploaded?
No. The viewer reads it from your disk and draws it with WebGL; you can go offline after the page has loaded.
How do I play a VRMA on my model?
Load the .vrm, then drop the .vrma on the page. The clip is retargeted onto the humanoid, so any VRMA plays on any VRM.
Why does my 1.0 model stand backwards in another viewer?
The two versions face opposite ways in glTF space, and a viewer that ignores the declared version shows the model from behind. This one reads the version.
Can I convert my model here?
The converters are next door: FBX or GLB to VRM, VRM to FBX, and the version converter between 0.x and 1.0.
Change the VRM, not just look at it
Pose it and export a PNG on the VRM poser , make it lighter on the VRM optimizer , or switch its version when an app refuses it.
