VRM poser: a pose, a PNG, a .vrma

Drop a .vrm, start from a preset, turn any bone with its sliders, mirror a side, and export a transparent PNG or the pose itself as a .vrma. Everything runs in your browser.

The .vrma is a one-second held pose: load it in the viewer or any VRMA-aware app and it plays on any VRM.

How to pose a VRM

  1. Drop the .vrm. Both versions load; the model stands in its rest pose with the presets beside it.
  2. Pick a preset (idle, pointing, sitting, a wave, a bow) or move bones one at a time: three rotation sliders per bone, 22 humanoid bones plus the fingers, a reset per bone and a mirror that swaps left and right.
  3. Export: a PNG on a dark, transparent or green background for thumbnails and overlays, or the pose as a .vrma that any VRMA-aware app applies to any VRM. The Animate tab plays full clips on the same model.

What the exported pose is

A one-frame .vrma written on the VRM humanoid, which is why it applies to any VRM, not only the one you posed it on. VRM Posing Desktop, VMagicMirror, Unity through UniVRM and the viewer here all read it. The PNG is a straight render of the model as posed, at the size of the stage.

Compared with VRM Posing Desktop, a paid Steam app: that one has props, scenes, several characters and lighting rigs. This page has one model, the bones, the presets and the export, with nothing to install, and it works on a Chromebook.

Questions

Is the model uploaded?

No. It is parsed and drawn in your browser; you can disconnect after the page has loaded.

Does it work with VRM 0.x and 1.0?

Yes. The two store the skeleton facing opposite ways; the poser handles that at the model boundary, so presets look the same on both and the exported .vrma is valid for either.

Can I pose the fingers?

Yes. Each finger joint has its sliders, and the hand presets set them together.

What is the Animate tab?

Twelve motion-capture clips that play on whatever VRM is loaded: a short preview on the page, the full .vrma to download. They have a page of their own too.

I have an FBX, not a VRM.

Convert it first on the FBX to VRM converter; the poser reads VRM only.

Full motion, not a single pose

The animation library has twelve clips to play on your model and download; the FBX to VRMA converter turns a Mixamo clip of your own into a .vrma.
