1. What this is
Shapeweld ("we", "the service") is a set of browser tools for 3D files: converters, viewers and tools for VRM avatars. By using the service you agree to these terms. The tools are free and need no account.
2. Your files stay yours
You keep every right to the files you upload and to the files the tools make from them. We claim none. You give us only what is needed to run the tool: the right to store the upload and the result for up to 3 days and to process the file on our server. We do not look at your files except to fix a reported problem, and we never share them.
3. What you may upload
Only files you have the right to convert: your own work, or work whose licence allows it. Do not upload files that infringe someone's copyright, contain malware, or are unlawful where you are. We may refuse or delete such files and block the network address they came from.
4. Limits
Files up to 100 MB (50 MB for some pairs), a bounded number of conversions per network address per hour and per day, and a time cap per job. The limits are there so one person cannot take the service away from everyone else; they may change.
5. Retention
Uploads and results are deleted 3 days after a conversion. Download what you need before then; we cannot bring a deleted file back.
6. The tools come as they are
A conversion is a best effort. Some formats cannot carry what another holds, some files cannot be read, and the page says so when it knows. We give no warranty that a result fits a particular app, and we are not liable for loss of data, time or income from using the service, to the extent the law allows. Check the result before you rely on it.
7. The animation clips
The clips in the animation library may be used on any avatar in any project, commercial or not; naming us is welcome, not required. They may not be resold as clips.
8. Complaints
If you believe a file on the service infringes your rights, write to support@shapeweld.com with the job id or the URL and what you own. We answer within a few days and remove what we must.
9. Changes
We may change these terms; the date at the top moves when we do. Using the service after a change accepts it.
